Frisco Faster Freight - Avoid Excessive Speed - In The Interest Of Our National Defense - 1/12/1942

There is some interesting information regarding the speed of the Cotton Belt´s BSM´s in Fred Frailey´s Kalmbach Publishing book "SP´s Blue Streak Merchandise".

The SSW-SP BSM´s were scorching the ballast between St. Louis-Corsicana-San Antonio and the West Coast.

Anyone know the time consumed on the Frisco-QA&P-ATSF freights in the early 60s?
