I’m looking for info on Frisco 2-8-2 1351. It’s on display next to our Town Square in Collierville, TN. The Friends of the Morton Museum, the Town Museum in Collierville ,are installing four Interpretive Signs near the locomotive to give a short history of 1351 and explain how a steam engine works. We’d also like to get permission to use one of the 1351 images on your website, one from the AJ Collection. How do we do that?
Some info/pics on her sister here: http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?threads/slsf-1352.2181/ If you can get hold of a copy of Joe Collias' Frisco Power, he devotes a chapter to the class.
If interested, you may use my locomotive diagram... http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?threads/frisco-1350-1356-class-2-8-2.13258/
The Railroad Historical Museum, Inc. in Springfield MO has extra copies of FRISCO POWER. We accept donations for this book and suggest $25.00 & upward plus shipping which is about $10.00
As an Assistant Administrator, I believe I can give you permission to use that image for non-profit purposes. It cannot be used for reproduction for resale.
Keith: Thanks. We plan to incorporate the image into one of our 2' x 3' Interpretive signs mounted near 1351. The Morton Museum, part of the Town of Collierville, TN, will use the image in their annual Train Heritage Brochure (and probably in their advertising for the Town's Annual Train Heritage Day, usually the second Saturday in August.
