Here's a Christmas special if any in frisco.org may be interested.

Two of the finest HO kits in SLSF colors I have experienced are the Proto 2000 Frisco 52'6" Drop End Mill Gondola (class GB) and the Proto 2000 Frisco 4427 PS2-CD High-Side Covered Hopper (class LO). Both kits are much fun to build, go together wonderfully, look and run great, and are true to the SLSF prototype. P2K released them several years ago - first the GB's, then the LO's.

I bought a bunch of each and have built several. I like them very much, but a look at my "stacks" of unbuilt kits shows I bought too many. I'll never build them all. I'd like to offer frisco.org members some of them at a nice savings if any of you are interested. If you don't have any - and the cars fit your era - you ought to have one or more of each of these cars on your Frisco roster.

The original price of the gondola kits was $16.00; the original price of the covered hopper kits was $15.00. I'll offer each for $8.00 per kit, plus actual shipping per USPS Priority Mail. Multiple purchases will be combined in a single USPS shipment - additional kits beyond the first probably won't add much to the s/h cost.

Payment via PayPal, money order, cash, or personal check is acceptable.

If interested, send me a Private Message via frisco.org (to meteor910) and I'll advise the specific kits and SLSF road numbers that are still available (see below), plus the s/h cost to your ZipCode. I can also supply build dates and other info on each car if interested, including copies of the SLSF car diagrams if you want them. FYI, the GB's are in black or red oxide, depending on the car number, with white lettering and a white coonskin on the black cars, a white & black coonskin on the red oxide cars. The LO's are in gray with black lettering with the billboard FRISCO lettering on the side. The P2K painting and lettering are very well done and prototypically correct.

    Thanks.

    Ken

Update - FYI, the following two "Christmas Special" Frisco kits are still available:

    - Frisco Proto 2000 GB gondola SLSF 61710 (red oxide with black/white logo), built 1953
    - Frisco Proto 2000 LO covered hopper SLSF 79094, built 1967.

The 61710 was sold but the fellow backed out (not a frisco.org member). He wanted a black car from the first two series, built 1949. This one is from the third series, built 1953, and is red oxide. I like the red oxide car better as it has the black & white coonskin herald, while the earlier black cars have a white outline coonskin herald. So be it.

All the other "Christmas Special" stuff is sold. Thanks to all who had an interest.
