Here are some photographs along the Puxico to Hunter line, the Hunter Branch, Hoxie Subdivision. The first depicts the lumber yard in Chaonia, MO circa 1909. The second shows the trackage climbing the steep grade leaving Chaonia, MO. The third shows the station at Taskee, MO shortly before the line was abandoned in 1938.
Thanks for those pictures! Love the 1900s photographs. The 1938 image in the last photograph is interesting, too.
The first two scenes are now mostly underwater although when the water levels get very low, the old bridge pilings can be seen again.
