I started with an Athearn undecorated HD flat, lowered the span bolster .015, That wasn't enough, so I cut .020 off of the tops of all four Kato trucks, used Tichy "stem winder" brake staffs, one up, one down. Also stuffed a triple valve and brake Cyl under each end above span bolster. Added all grab irons and steps, I think it was a DW 1020 coupler mounting boxes mounted to the body, used styrene channel to make the lift or tie down brackets that you by the reader plate and lube stencil. Painted with Model Masters Insignia Yellow, used a few Microscale decals, the rest I made on my old ALPS printer.
Sure gonna miss modeling with those old MDC, Athearn blue box models.

Tom - Nice work. I bet that thing looks pretty neat when it rolls by with all those Kato roller caps spinning!
