My father's house has been sold, and the layout in the basement must be abandoned.

If you are in the Springfield area, we will have the layout open on Saturday, September, 5th, and those in the Springfield area are invited to stop by and take what you want.

The layout is constructed of box-style benchwork made of 1x4 lumber and blue foam. The track is Atlas code 100 with fiber ties....the turnouts are a mix of lambert #8's and various varieties of Atlas #6's. There are dozens of handmade trees, an Atlas Roundhouse, and TT....a Walthers' Diesel Shop, a double span Volmer(?) truss, several Atlas through plater girder bridges, a Walthers' coal mine....Wire, DPDT slide switches...etc..

Anything related to the layout may be had for the price of coming and getting it....bring your own tools.

We haven't inventoried the cars, but most are old Athearn Blue box cars with Kadees...these will be sold. I hope to have these sorted out by next weekend.

If interested in used blue foam, lumber, old track and turnouts, etc...drop me a note back channel, and I send you the address and time.

    Wow,

Code 100 on fiber ties! That reminds me of the guy's layout that inspired me to start model railroading instead of playing with Lionel trains. Wish I lived nearby, just so I could come have a look. Good luck.

    Best wishes,
    mike
