Decided to head out to the train barn today and see if the outfit would still run. Decided to turn a wheel or two with a few friends. That QA&P's business is really picking up. This is a 45 car local that left Quanah headed West, with switching at Lazar, Dougherty, and Paducah. It made it down hill just fine with three units but stalled on the climb up the cap rock so another train handed off a unit to us so we could finish the trip. You know traffic is up when that Acme Red River & Northern unit is on the road. Wheat harvest must be in full swing. Two of the Frisco GP15-1's are Genesis, one is from a Smokey Valley Kit and the ARR&N other is a re-worked Athearn RTR CF7. Have a great evening!|-||-|
Okay, now I've got to go downstairs and break out the Bright Boy and run a train or two. Thanks for posting.
Thanks Guys we did have a blast. A question for you'se smart phone gurus. What can I use to attach my Droid to a camera tripod?
Tom: Looks good. Here's a weird, specific question for you: what type/color mix of paint do you use for your fascia? I'm looking for something similar; I think I may have a half-gallon or so leftover from a bedroom that would fit the bill for my limited space. Regardless, the color you've chosen compliments the scenery nicely. Best Regards,
Thanks Chris, But I cant take any credit for discovering the color. Our own Rick McClellan was kind enough to turn me on to the color. I just matched the color up with Tru-value paint (the store is close). Please see this tread; http://www.frisco.org/vb/showthread.php?5863-Fascia-Stain-or-Paint&highlight=fascia+color
