    Mulberry, KS

This photograph shows the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway depot in Mulberry, Kansas.

The one-story wooden structure was part of the Northern Division, Parsons Subdivision at milepost 123.0.

    Photograph circa 1958.

    Thanks for sharing that.

For reference I will attach a couple overhead shots showing position of the depot in Mulberry. It was at the corner of 10th Street and S Military.

The picture was probably taken while standing in the middle of the siding that is on the south side of the main line.

I am surprised at how good of shape the depot is still in, passenger service on that stretch of the Parsons Subdivision was long gone by that point.

Maybe they still used the freight half of it?

Also interesting to look just to the west and see a few cars of some sort parked on the siding at some sort of industry. My best guess is it is some sort of small grain elevator.

As indicated by the order board, which is set to red, the depot is still in service as a train order station.

Rule 221 of the Transportation Department applies.

During the latter part of 1958, service was rendered by extra freights.
