A Revell maintenance shed that I received as a child became a worthy candidate for rebuilding once my modeling skills had improved.

      Revell made some dandy kits; the brick engine house/Superior Bakery/Newspaper Office was one of the best around. Still have a beat-up engine house that needs some TLC.

      My mother had a good eye as she also got me the small town passenger station and the freight station. Revell was unusual in that they used different architectural styles on the same kit, indicating a railroads preference for the practical over the aesthetic. Years ago I bought Con-Cor versions of the engine house, farmhouse and barnyard group, but will wait until I have a place for them until building them.
