Tom Teeples, who works at Doc's Caboose here in KC scratch-built one that is a very nice model. I don't think this one looks like it.
I got a reply from the seller that it was the one that Tom Teeples built. I forgot that I had taken photos of the same model when Tom had finished it. It is one and the same.
Well that’s great that a Frisco guy got it. I’m really nutty about oddball branchline/shortline stuff, but Frisco isn’t my primary interest..... although , man , it really could be with not much help. I just don’t know much about it. The steam engines in particular are very beautiful. I have several HO engines I’d like to put a working Pyle headlight on if I could, and make oil bunkers for them. I’m much more familiar with the MP, but it and the Frisco were intertwined like vines in so many places. I’ve always loved the lower southwest end of the Midwest that these two roads served, plus the Frisco made it to Pensacola FL, one of my favorite places. There was a beautiful mission style depot there that never should have been torn down. Although the Frisco hasn’t run in my region since 1914, I know of at least three towns with a Frisco Avenue, and across town here there is a Friscoville Street. I’ll take pictures of the signs and post them. Well enough rambling. Time to go renew my friendship with my pillow.
