Whose Back-EMF seems to work best?

I am in the process of determining which decoders to use in a new set of Athearn F3A/Bs and am open to suggestions about decoders with Back-EMF. Hard-wiring is no problem - I am not "married" to plug-n-play decoders for this application.

Bottom line; I am looking for opinions or experience about the quality of Back-EMF among the various manufacturers.

    Howdy Keith,

    Sound or no sound?

How about either? I am presently interested in no sound, but in the interest of providing information, how about both?

If you go without sound, I have used the TCS A6X decoders successfully. The nice thing they have is a solder point for the 1.5v 30ma lamps. They replace the existing light board and will need about 8 solder points and you are done. Not a plug-in but it only takes a few mins.

    Ship IT on the Frisco!
