This Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, will mark the 100th anniversary of the football game between Webster Groves and Kirkwood high schools here in St Louis.

Since 1952, the winning team trophy has been "The Frisco Bell", a steam locomotive bell donated by the SLSF, likely from Lindenwood.

Does anybody know what SLSF steam locomotive the bell came off of?

Well, to narrow it down somewhat, it's a top mounted, air ringer bell, so wouldn't have been from any of the "modern" power. (2-8-2s,4-8-2s,4-6-4s or 4-8-4s) Probably from a 1200 or one of the pacifics.
