I'm posting some pics I took yesterday of Vista. Hopefully someone modeling the Clinton sub will get some inspiration or reference material from these.

Looking northeast standing on old Hwy 13. The Highline was just on the the other side of these buildings running parallel to them.

An intriguing old gas station along Hwy 13. I'm guessing probably a one pumper. Not too bad a shape for as old as it is.

Looking southeast at Vista Baptist Church from old Hwy 13. I'm guessing the part on the north side of the structure was an addition to the original.

Did you find the old Memphis Road boxcar?

Probably two pumps ("Raglar" and Ethyl), two pipes sticking out of the ground.

I'm not familiar with that. Is this legend or is there really something hidden out in the weeds?

It's the real deal. KCFS&M Box 20927, was located near the ROW on the eastern side of town. Last time I saw it, it was badly faded, but still legible.

No I haven't seen anything like that. There's some private property just to the east of town with a lot of junk cars on it. It might be buried out there somewhere. I'll take a closer look next time. Thanks for the heads up.

You can see the boxcar with Google Earth.

Gee , I remember tromping around down here in the 60's with Bill White. We were babbling after discovering the KC FS & M car. The only other Memphis Route era find I ever saw was the bench at the Lenexa, KS depot.

Can you point out where it is in Google Earth? I'd like to go take a look at it but I've looked all over the area in Google Earth and I don't see anything that could resemble it.

Where the two lines crossed NW of Vista, was it on a bridge...a concrete box culvert ....any photos survive?
