I grew up in Sherman, TX (1960's and 1970's) with a grandfather who was an engineer on the Frisco railroad. He took me on several trips which, as you can imagine, were trips of a lifetime. I am now making a childhood dream come true by getting into model reailroading. Of course, I plan on utilizing nothing but Frisco trains which are hard to find in the northwest ( where Union Pacific is king). So, I found this site to hopefully help me locate all models.
Howdy Terry, Thanks for the bit of background. If you don't find what you are looking for, just ask the group. Best regards, mike
Terry - Your UP friends should know ..... there was a good history of run-throughs with SLSF units on the UP and vice-versa. Welcome to frisco.org! Before I retired, I had responsibility for a major plant in Idaho, and was in Boise often. Love that part of the country! We shipped a lot of product on the UP, and I got to know them well. UP was our major rail carrier, my plant being a major reason for that. Ken
