I know I've been away from HO for years, but are Sunshine Models really worth a fortune? I saw several at the bay tonight, going for $75 to $90 bucks a pop. Still making my switch to G looking better for my wallet.

The owner of Sunshine died last year, and for all intensive purposes they are out of business. Unless the company sell, which seems unlikely from what I have heard, those kits will never be run again. I have heard of some going for $200. There have to be thousands of resin kits unbuilt sitting on shelves, so I think they will come back down after more estate sales.

Well said Kent. We lost Martin Lofton about a year or so ago. Another good Frisco friend (from FMIG). Martin was a banker who gave up the rigors of that profession to enter the model railroading freight car kit business. The quality of his Sunshine kits displayed his love for his new business. He was a very nice guy, always helpful. Not only were his kits very good, but the data sheets that he provided along with them were invaluable reference documents.
