As some of you know, I'm pulling back a bit on my model railroading activities - but not my prototype Frisco interests! This is because we are doing more and more traveling, and have just purchased a condo in Florida where we will escape from some of StL's poorer weather. As part of that, I am slowly selling off some of my "stash" of Frisco-related locomotives, car kits, stuff, etc. I know I will never get around to building, or using, much of what I have collected through the years, so why not offer it to others who will put it to good use. I have just recently sold off the last of my brass Frisco steam - with a tear in my eye, for sure. Following is a list of several of the Frisco Sunshine Models kits I have, produced by Martin Lofton, that I'd like to offer to frisco.org members who might be interested. Whatever does not sell here I'll list on eBay, where I know they will likely sell in a lively auction. I've had each of these kits for quite some time - three of them show Martin's old Salinas, CA address! Each of these have been opened, but are unbuilt, complete, in the original box, with all of Martin's instructions and car histories. If they were still sealed, I'd call them "mint". Since they have been around for a while, I'd say all, or most, are no longer available from Sunshine, but I have not checked that. I don't have a record of what each of these cost me - all were at least in the $30 to $40 range. As many of you know, Martin's kits are very accurate, and each of these is Frisco specific, with decals, but no trucks or couplers. There may be more to follow - here's the list as of today: Sunshine Kit #4.1 Frisco steel-side rebuild of USRA double sheathed boxcar Sunshine Kit #12.1 Frisco paneled steel rebuild of USRA 40ft gondola with dump doors Sunshine Kit #12.2 Frisco paneled steel rebuild of USRA 40ft gondola without dump doors Sunshine Kit #39.1 Frisco (SLSF 147000) 40ft Howe truss boxcar with wood door, Murphy ends, both small heralds Sunshine Kit #39.2 Frisco (SLSF 160000) 40ft Howe truss boxcar with Youngstown door, Dreadnaught ends, both small heralds I'm asking $27.00 for each of these, plus USPS shipping via 1st Class, Priority Mail, or parcel Post, whatever works. Payment via personal check is preferred. I'd rather not use Paypal because of their fees. If interested, contact me via frisco.org private message to meteor910, or via e-mail to meteor910@mindspring.com Thanks! There will likely be other things coming as well. Stay tuned. Ken
