    Hi All:

The tiles (bench work) and terrain (landforms) are now in place for the St. Paul Branch on my V scale version of the Fort Smith District/Subdivision, circa 1900's.

I am poised to start laying track eastward out of Fayette Jct. However, the only real data I have are reproductions of Employee Time Tables.

I could really use a LOT more data before I start plopping down track pieces. Does anyone have a profile, or track charts, or ?? for the St. Paul Branch?

Also, does anyone have ANY information for the Black Mountain & Eastern/Combs Cass & Eastern that connected with the St. Paul Branch at Combs, Arkansas?

I would be most appreciative of any information that can be shared.

    Thanks.

If Tractive doesn't chime in with somethng, I would send you next to David Bogard, who had a layout based on taking the line on to Clarksville. He's in the Little Rock/Maumelle area. There are others in Fayetteville who would have some knowledge, but I don't know that any of them are on the net.

    Thanks for some input, Steve.

Yes, I was fortunate to meet David Bogard some years ago. We exchanged notes on the St. Paul Branch and the Black Mountain & Eastern. Of course, he may have turned up some more info?

Does Tom Duggan(sp?) frequent this forum? I recall he presented an EXCELLENT slide presentation on the BM&E at the Shilo Museum in Springdale many years ago.

Hopefully, there will be info to come forth quickly. The rails are reaching Baldwin already!

If you are at the show Saturday you may be able talk to Tom, and others with info will be around. As of 5:30 this evening, most of the eight layouts were ready to run and most of the vendors were set up or hauling stuff in.
Hope to see lots of you.

    Hi Steve:

I was hoping to attend the Bentonville show this year. Unfortunately, I was informed Tuesday that I'll be on the Fort Smith to Winslow passenger train (again) tomorrow. So... even though I'll enjoy seeing the scenery along the line through the Ozarks... I'll miss the festivities at Bentonville and excellent opportunity to visit with Tom.

    Darn.
