    Hi all!

I am finally beginning to work on a the first section of a large Frisco route for OpenRails Train Simulator centered around Springfield, MO.

It includes the Springfield, the section I am beginning with, terrain and markers are placed, Willow Springs, Ash Grove, and Lebanon Subdivisions.

I posted about the previous route plan in the virtual threads and will eventually post an updated thread for the new plan. Since the route will be set in the transition era and early diesel period I am requesting as much information on the operations, track layout, and industries of Springfield roughly 1945-1959.

I have many documents from this awesome community from the 1960s such as track charts and industry schematics, but I was hoping to find more information about the Frisco in Springfield in the 1940s-1950s.

Thank you all for your help!

I would suggest looking at a copy of Pat Hiatte's article on Springfield downtown in Trains magazine.

I do not recall what year or month, but it was very informative.

See the article "Frisco when it was Fabulous", Trains Magazine, December 2003.
