The April 2008 issue of SCALE RAILS has some great photos of Rick's models of the Lenexa, KS depot, KCT Tower 4, and a freelanced Uregas dealership as part of the NMRA's "Year Of The MMR" series. It's for the Structures AP Certificate. Nice workmanship, photography, and writing Rick.

Doug--Is "Scale Rails" a magzine? I'm only familiar with Scale Rails, the website??

    Thanks, Tom

New name for the NMRA monthly. The KC modeling community took it over a few years ago and increased the quality 500%. If I were only getting one monthly, it would be Scale Rails and not MR nor MRC. See http://www.nmra.org and join.

Thanks for the kind words on the structures. Scale Rails is the replacement publication for the old NMRA Bulletin. Steve Priest has given new life to the official NMRA publication so everyone should consider joining if not already a member. It is now a high quality, very colorful magazine that is growing in popularity.

NMRA members can submit articles for consideration and this is a great way to get Author Certificate points whether you are working toward a Master Model Railroader certification or not.

The advertisements in Scale Rails are also top notch - the stuff I'd want to buy for a layout.
