A friend sent me this image and I think it is Paoli, KS.

But, I would not bet the ranch on it.

    So where is it located?

I have never heard of a Paoli, KS.

There is a Paola, KS which was on the Frisco.

Could this be the Paoli Oklahoma Depot that may have been on the CRIP?

Just a thought. I know that the name derived its name from a town in Pennsylvania that was linked to the railroad workers in Oklahoma.

According to Google maps, there is a Paoli, OK.

It is about 50 miles south of Oklahoma City.

It appears the ATSF went through the town.

My guess would be Paoli, Indiana on the Monon railroad.

    The Hoosier Line!

The Monon ran right down the middle of one of Lafayette's main streets when I was in grad school at Purdue. The track is now CSX and the line has since been relocated.

Paoli, IN is down in southern Indiana on the branch line to French Lick. There was and may still be a very popular resort at French Lick.

The branch once saw lots of private cars and business cars going there.

It is definitely not Paoli, PA, the origin of the name.

There are not enough wires in the picture!
