    Doug,

In one of the early FMIG NL's, you described your Dixon Cannery modeling project. I am curious if you might have further information about its operation.

The Frisco Employee Magazine describes several of the Ozarks branchlines on which several of these "industries" were located. As I recall, the Ozark Branch had 5.

It would appear that canning tomatoes was the primary operation. Were there any other canning operations such Ozark Region peaches and pears? Consequently, it would also appear that their operation was seasonal.

I have an old Campbell structure that might fit the bill as an Ozarks area cannery, and I am curious to know more about these small-town industries.

Karl, feel free to nag me in a week or two if I haven't replied further.

I think I'd snipped some articles from the FEM's to use as the basis for a future compilation regarding shipping other produce from the Ozarks in the 20s and 30s.

However, all of this is stuck on the old PC. It has ceased to be. It is an ex-computer. But, we think the stuff that I, um, didn't back up can be retrieved.

Otherwise, I'll go back to square one but it will be time well spent.
