I saw a very nice looking custom painted E7 redbird (I think that's what it's called, correct me if I am wrong) on ebay. Looks like its is a custom P2K. If it wasn't so expensive, I would buy it. http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Frisco-K...wItemQQptZModel_RR_Trains?hash=item2306683b1d
All things considered, this model is not that far out of line in price comparing it to the MSRP of current offerings. I agree with Ethan that is is really sharp and I would buy it if it fit my era. It would also make a great shelf model.
Train Station Products (I believe it is) has the fluting as well as car sides for Meteor/Frisco/Texas Special/Katy passenger sides. Delta Models had the E7 conversion pieces. They may be produced again, soon. I have two sets...willing to share if you'll do mine also! Glenn, in Tulsa
The thin side fluting strips I have are from Union Station Products, Memphis, TN, 901-797-9630. I don't know if they are still in business. Their part number is FSP-004. Ken
Ah yes...UNION Staion Products. Close but no cigar! Last time I looked, they were still on the web...look under "Missouri, Kansas, Texas" Glenn, in Tulsa
