    That is correct but I didn't want to say anything until I knew more, but last week QSI in some people's minds dropped a bomb on the sound decoder industry by announcing a whole new decoder called the "Titan". This is rumored to explain why Walther's and maybe Intermountain jumped ship and went to Soundtraxx. Hopefully I can find out if this might delay the June delivery schedule. Stay tuned!

    To All:

    Atlas has just announced the "re-introduction" of the Frisco U30b. Thankfully all previously announced road numbers will be produced including #846 XR. The estimated delivery date is the first quarter of 2013.

    To All:

    The suggested MSRP is $189.00 for the Silver Edition (DCC Ready but no decoder) and $299.00 for the Gold Edition (QSI Titan sound equipped). That is the same as the original price even though peanut butter has gone up in price during the same frame. Now we can beg the question: What will we see first, the Atlas U30b or the Overland Brass cabooses?

    Atlas has updated the estimated ship date status on the U30b from TBD to May 2013. :D:D:D

    I just talked with Wholesale Trains, and they tell me the U30Bs are due late June-early July. We'll see:confused:

    This morning the Atlas A-Z Shipping Report is showing that the container containing the U30b's shipped on June 29th. The good Lord willing and the ship doesn't sink we will finally have our locomotives soon!

    To All:

    I studied the Atlas shipping report more thoroughly and it looks like once an item shows up on the container report it takes about 2 months for Atlas to begin shipping it to their dealer downline. Hopefully we will see them around Labor Day.

    To All:

    Atlas is now showing a container shipping report for 8/6/13. It looks like they will receive the container one week from that date. The good thing is that the report shows all of the U30b's in the container. The bad news, depending on how one looks at it, is that half of them show being SOLD OUT to dealers upon arrival. The only ones that are showing as having LIMITED availability are Silver Series (non-sound) #'s 848 and 851 and Gold Series (sound) #846 and #853. This means that if you are playing a wait and see game you might want to reconsider.

    To All:

    Atlas has updated their website saying that the long awaited U30b's will be shipping begin shipping to hobby shops today, August 16th!
