Broadway Limited (http://www.broadway-limited.com/) has announced new HO scale Frisco products (under "Delivery Schedule", see "EMD Diesel Switchers SW-7 / NW-2", page down to "Paint Schemes New Run!", page down - left column, 5th item down and click for a larger view).

They are releasing in November their SW-7 Phase 2 in the mandrin orange and white paint scheme in 2 numbers (300 and 304). Expect the new releases to have state of the art graphics.

These units will be available with and without receivers and sound. Suggested retail is $89.99 no receiver or sound and $179.99 with receiver and sound.

I have operated with the sound equiped units from the previous run and they sound GREAT! As with most new releases these days the mechanism and shell detail are excellent.

Start saving and get your orders in now. Production availability will be limited (typically only what is ordered).

Broadway Limited continues to support Frisco modelers with engines (2-8-2 steam engines) and rolling stock (stock cars). The more support (purchases) the more we can continue to look forward to new products.

Many thanks to the good folks at Broadway Limited!

I have a question about the Quantum Diesel Sound system. I have been told that you cannot adjust the range of the sound, i.e. you have to turn the throttle all the wy up to acheive the sound effefct of run 8 for instance. Can you comment on this please?

I picked up a BL USRA Light 2-8-2 w/sound yesterday and pressed it into service immediately. While the sound is a little loud, with the factory settings, it ran great right out of the box. I need to check the details, but my intial reaction is favorable.

Anyone else own a BL SLSF 2-8-2? What's your opinion?

    Ship IT on the Frisco!

    Rick
