New Athearn Flat Car

    The BBFCL Yahoo Group has a thread referencing the fact that Athearn is producing a brand new flat car, the Bethlehem F89F in several prementations. These are standard-height C-sill cars, not low-level bowl-decks, so they were not used to mount hinged-deck racks, but rather fixed-deck bilevels and trilevels.

    It was pointed out that the reason this is important to Frisco Modelers (and others as well) was that this car was used as the base for many railroads bi-level and tri-level auto racks and the hope of course is that Athearn will go ahead and produce some of these also now that they will have the base car.
