Let's start a new thread. The previous one was getting a bit crowded.

All unsold items in Naples Update 2 and, now, Naples Update 3 are eligible for bids on the price if you don't like the price I have nominated. Remember, my goal here is to move these items off to a new frisco.org home, rather than to make a killing on the sale.

I can't believe no one is bidding on the Atlas Frisco MP15, SLSF 364. Very nice model, well done as usual by Atlas. It's in Naples update 2. I'll keep it if no one wants it; it goes well with my two SW1500's. The MP15 replaced the SW1500 in EMD's model line up.

    Following are some new listings.

Here are three, new in the box, Stewart Baldwin switchers that played a large role in the Frisco's transition to diesels and served long and well all over the system. The VO-1000 and VO-660 were among the very first diesels on the Frisco. Each of these Stewart models cost $75 when originally purchased. They run smooth as silk. Each locomotive is already decorated with the correct Frisco black/yellow lettering, numbers and markings. All you need to do is put it together.

Here we go; I'll post each separately:

First - Stewart #4726, Baldwin VO-1000 SLSF 224. Unassembled, new in the box with all parts and instruction sheets. Easy assembly, I've built five of these Stewarts (Frisco, TRRA, PRR). The Baldwins were one of my favorites. They delivered 1000 HP and were numbered SLSF 200 - 237 in the roster. SLSF 224 was one of the VO-1000's that utilized four exhaust stacks, most used one stack, a few utilized two. Baldwin wasn't big on standardization, but the VO's had a strong reputation on the SLSF as being able to pull anything. They caused few problems and many lasted until the BN came calling. Several were later re-engined by EMD to standardize on the 567 engine rather than to keep servicing the old VO. See the pics.
Price is low, $39. Shipping cost is $9 via Priority Mail. Can be combined with other items. Payment via personal check, USPS money order, or PayPal (preferred) via the "friends & family" option so there is no fee.
    Thanks. (SOLD)

Second - Stewart #4663, Baldwin VO-660 SLSF 601. Unassembled, new in the box with all parts and instruction sheets. Easy assembly, I've built five of these Stewart Baldwins (Frisco, TRRA, PRR). The Baldwins were one of my favorites. SLSF 601, along with its sister SLSF 600, were originally used to service passenger yards. Eventually, they served various yard duties. The two were later re-numbered to SLSF 60 & 61 to get out of the way of more Frisco GP7 purchases. They delivered 660 HP. See the pics.

Third - Stewart #4819, Baldwin DS-4-4-1000 SLSF 238. A new and improved Baldwin; it had a new engine, the 606-SC, and was turbocharged, delivering 1000 HP from a smaller, lighter power plant These were numbered SLSF 238 - 241. Model is unassembled, new in the box with all parts and instruction sheets. Easy assembly, I've built five of these Stewart Baldwins (Frisco, TRRA, PRR). The Baldwins were one of my favorites of the Frisco switcher roster. See the pics.

You got 'em Matt. Thanks! Welcome to b/y Baldwins. The Frisco had 34 of them (diesels that is!)

Here is another bit of rolling stock for those who desire a sophisticated roster. Those of you who run any stock cars on your layout should consider this - InterMountain #47917-08. This is a Santa Fe Sk-U class stock car, of which they had many. The road number is ATSF 60596, built 12/1929. These must have run some miles on Frisco tracks. See the pics. The reason I am highlighting this class of stock car is the construction of the car's side trusses. Note the diagonal trusses are going in a direction opposite that of most truss side cars, which for some reason the ATSF favored. This feature certainly makes the car stand out in a cut of stockers. The car has IRC trucks and metal wheels, Kadee compatible couplers, and Cal-Scale brake hoses.
Anyway, price to frisco.org folks is $12, plus the usual $7 for Priority Mail. Combine this item with others to save shipping costs. Payment as usual, check, USPS money order, or PayPal "friends & family". Thanks. (SOLD)

OK Matt, it's yours. We'll have to see what the effect on ship cost is. We are looking at at least two shipping boxes as I see it.
    Thanks again!

    Ken,

That poor 65 ft mill gondola way back in update 2, if you would take 8 for it I will give it a good home.

Also send me an email with your best price on the atlas o/w MP 15 from the same update. I don't need it for the layout but might put it in a display case.

OK, let's start off tonight with some serious stuff - Athearn Genesis F-units. More to follow.

First, an Athearn Genesis Frisco F3A Phase 2. This is SLSF road number 5010, in the wonderful black and yellow Frisco livery. My only complaint on how Genesis did this paint scheme is with the anti-glare panel on the nose. The green is too light. Easily fixed with olive drab colored paint and a steady hand with a micro brush. Otherwise, I have no complaint whatsoever with the Genesis F's - smooth runners, wonderful lighting, excellent body shell, terrific lettering/numbering graphics, excellent details. My opinion is that Genesis is the best HO F-unit ever.
This is Genesis #G2018, SLSF 2010, F3A, phase 2. Relatively new in box, complete with all Genesis details and instruction sheets. This, and its sisters, is the best running F-unit I have experienced. Does run well with Intermountain and Kato F's from Stewart. See pics. This is part of the SLSF 2002-2017 class of F3A's, phase 2.
This unit listed new at well over $100. I got it at a discount for $99. I'm offering it to frisco.org members for $82, plus the usual $13.45 for flat rate priority mail (it's heavy). Payment via check, USPS money order, or PayPal (preferred) via their "friends & family" option.
    Thanks. (SOLD)

    Ken,

I just realized my last PayPal payment didn't go through for some reason. Just sent you one and got confirmation it went through. Has me as most all caught up.

    Before this of course

Second, an Athearn Genesis Pennsylvania RR (PRR) F7A. This is PRR road number 9676, in their wonderful brunswick green Pennsy livery. A beautiful locomotive, no complaint whatsoever with the Genesis PRR F's - smooth runners, wonderful lighting, excellent body shell, terrific lettering/numbering graphics, excellent details. Note the lift rings on the nose, a PRR characteristic. My opinion is that Genesis is the best HO F-unit ever.
This is Genesis #G1001A, PRR 9676, F7A. Relatively new in box, complete with all Genesis details and instruction sheets. This, and its sisters, are the best running F-units I have experienced. Does run well with Intermountain and Kato F's from Stewart. See pics. Consider expanding your loco roster with a PRR run-thru unit.

Rats, I would have taken both of the SLSF F units, but it almost requires being on the site continuously to know when they're posted.

    Keith -
Sorry! I'm only selling one of the Frisco F3's, SLSF 5010. Keeping the rest of them.

The second posting is for a Genesis PRR F7, not a Frisco F. It is still available. Very nice unit.

    Here are tonight's listings .....
I'm a chemical engineer by training, and I worked mostly with inorganic chemicals during my career. I like tank cars and covered hoppers - in particular if they handled inorganic chemicals. Here is a chlorine tank car - you can't get more inorganic than that!
This is Atlas #1096-2, an 11,000 gallon tank car set up for liquid chlorine service. This car was in the fleet of Solvay Process Chemicals, one of the great caustic/chlorine producers. Road number is SPX 8810. The car is silver and dark green, built in July, 1953. Both the Frisco's b/y and o/w diesel cars would have seen this car or many cars like it. Car has the usual features - metal wheels, Kadee compatible couplers, Cal-Scale brake hoses, full grabs, piping, underbody detail. Nice model.
Price to frisco.org folks is $14, plus $7 shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Payment via personal check, USPS money order, or PayPal "friends & family". Thanks.

Here is a do-it-yourself project for you ambitious folks. This is a Stewart undecorated F9A, powered by Kato, with dual headlights, Farr air grills on the sides, the additional vent grill ahead of the first side porthole, dynamic brakes with the large fan. In other words, it is an excellent representation of SLSF 5005 and SLSF 5007, the two F3A's that were rebuilt at EMD in 1954 into F9A equivalents powered by the 1750 HP 567C. These two were the Frisco's only F9A's, and were the only Frisco cab A-units to mount dynamic brakes. The Frisco did wise up and specify d/b on their subsequent orders for F9B's.
Here's a chance to add SLSF 5005 or SLSF 5007 to your roster - b/y or o/w. Not sure if these two appeared in an austerity scheme - anybody know?
Price to frisco.org is $35, plus $10.50 shipping via Priority Mail. Payment methods as described above. Thanks.

Here is an unusual offering, but one that offers a great value for those who are interested.
This is a combo pair of undecorated Stewart F-unit "A" shells - one a F7A with an unpowered Stewart chassis, plus a F3A body shell to go with it. Yes, two body shells, two different units, one dummy chassis. You take your pick if you want a F3A or a F7A, or use the shells to kit bash, etc. The Stewart F-unit body shells are very nice, fine detail. Take a look at the pics.
This is not a perfect offering - the F3A/F7A window glass inserts are there, but the side port hole inserts are missing. This is easily remedied by contacting Stewart and buying the missing part spur at minimal cost.
Value price for this F3/F7 combo, two body shells, one unpowered chassis, is only $16, plus $8 shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Excellent value for these fine models. Less than a freight car! Payment as per the postings above. Items can be combined to save shipping cost. Thanks. Let me know via PM if you fail to see the value in this. Thanks. (SOLD)
