Motor Cars of the Steam Era

    For starters, I had to figure out where in the name of J.M. Kurn to put this one in the library! :)

    Anyone have experience modeling a track gang "motor car" from the steam era?

    I found the attached photo of a crew using a motor car at the South Springfield Reclamation Plant in 1927 from The Frisco Employee's Magazine in the Springfield library collection. It's about as good as I've found thus far.

    I have an unassembled kit for an old hand car that I think could reasonably be kitbashed into a good static model. With a car house already assembled on my fledgling layout, a motor car would look pretty good sitting outside.
