    Folks:
Has anyone used or tried "Durham's Water Putty" for gap and hole filling on models?

Reason being: my tube of Squadron Green Putty dried up, I have some Durham's on hand, and I subscribe to the thought that "It's what you do with what you got."

Thoughts? My thanks in advance to anyone who might potentially keep the unexperienced from doing something pretty dumb.

    Best Regards,

    Chris,

I have found it best to match the filler to the type of modeling medium. A plastic filler for plastic work, wood filler for wood, etc. Different fillers have different characteristics (shrinkage, etc.). Duraham's wood putty is more prone to shrinkage.

Squadron makes both a "green putty" and a "white putty" (I prefer the lighter white putty) which work well for plastic modeling.

    All the best!
