This year's annual Kalmbach/Tony Koester magazine is a must-have for any Frisco modeler. Paul Dolkos has a great track planning article about Harrisonville, MO that complements some recent postings about Harrisonville here on Frisco.org. Ken Patterson's article about sectional layouts features photos of some fantastic Frisco SD-40 diesel models.

Kalmbach's promised How To Build Better Layouts features the Severna Park MD HO layout where I did monthly operation sessions for about 20 years. I even presented a clinic at the Valley Forge NMRA National about the sessions years ago.

Times are good for us Frisco modelers.

The birthday fairy brought me my copy of MRP '08. The Harrisonville article is nicely done.

With maybe a year or two here or there I've purchased MRP since the 1995 inaugural issue. I'm amazed at how much I've learned and am incorporating, now that a layout's finally starting to take shape in my neighborhoodl

It was a great article but you could even do more if you modeled the northern part of the line, more industry in Grandview, you could have a siding going to the air base (they shipped bombs in boxcars!) then Belton had a nice pass siding (leaky roof mainline) and a grain elevator not unlike so many kits available in HO. But still a great article! Dont forget this line was home to decapods and had some nice passenger service even had E's at one point.
