Not exactly Frisco related, but I was wondering if the Missouri and Northern Arkansas is still running freights into Clinton?
I think this is actually an ex-Katy line. What industries are still there using rail?

The Katy use to serve a power plant a few miles north of Clinton. Would be intersting to learn what happened to that business.

The MNA still serves the KCPL Montrose power plant just southwest of Clinton at Ladue. They handle Wyoming coal to this plant several days a week that comes down the old Mopac line from KC to Nevada, then back up the old MKT to Ladue.

Montrose was built as a mine mouth plant and was later served by the MKT with coal from the Tebo Mine northeast of Clinton near Calhoun. Peabody Coal also served the plant using their own power and delivering coal from the Power Mine just west of the power plant.

MNA still serves Lowe Oil Company in the old Rival Mfg. plant just north of the old Frisco yard on the only remaining Frisco tracks in Clinton. They bring in tank cars of petroleum products that Lowe packages and sells under their own brand name. This appears to be the only rail served business in Clinton.
