    To All:

Although exactly not a brand new product since these decals have only been mentioned is passing on this forum in the past, I am posting their availability under this category. Back in April of 2013, a man named Hubert Mask joined the forum and merely said he was a decal producer. Actually he owns a company named Mask Island Decals and produces some nice decal sets for mainly freight cars. Several historical societies including the Missouri Pacific group tout his products and recommend them highly. Unless I missed some, he currently produces 5 sets of decals for Frisco boxcars. The one mentioned previously on this forum is this the Moloco GA 50' RBL Boxcar.

Below are the decal sets currently offered for the Frisco (SLSF). Stock numbers are in parentheses:

    (1) GATX Frisco 50' box car (87-140) MOLOCO KIT
    (2) 40' Rebuild box car (87-182)
    (3) 50' Rebuild box car (87-183)
    (4) 40' Rebuild black logo box car (87-184)
    (5) 50' grey plug door box car (87-185)

Each set sells for $6.00 and will letter 2 cars. There are also picture links of most of the offerings on their website.

I welcome feedback from members of the forum who have used these in the past. Now that Oddballs seems to be out of business this might be a good source for future offerings. For the time being, the sets offered are enticing for end of the era modelers wishing to modernize Kadee cars, etc.

    Thanks for this post.

These look pretty good, even though there are only five SLSF decal sets, all of modern or rebuilt box cars. Lots of Rock Island, Southern and MoP sets, however. I must say that I am interested in the St Louis and Ofallon 2-bay hopper set. Might do that one.

While looking for another thread, I came across this one. I want to give an unequivocal recommendation for these decals. I have used the 50' rebuild box car (87-183) and am very pleased with the results. I have bought another for a future project. My only complaint is that we don't have more from which to choose. If you are looking for a great decal for any of the listed cars (or using parts from the sheet for other cars), please try them. It would be great if they sold enough Frisco decals to add more to their line.
