Several years ago I found a list of train numbers including road freights, road switchers and locals, that operated on the Frisco in the last decade of its existence. I downloaded it, printed it, and placed it in my personal archives for future reference. Well, two moves later, the list has apparently vanished, been accidentally discarded or been lost. Lord knows what. So much for proper storage! Well, I did some searching on the site here, and I'm unable to find said list. Is it archived somewhere, and if so, where can I find it?
I believe Mike Lutzenberger made that post and I am trying to find it for you. Are you looking for a specific division or subdivision, or interested in the whole system?
My primary interest is the Afton Sub and Central Division, particularly the A&A Sub and Hugo-Paris line, which was part of the Arthur Sub. Add this to my wish list, an archive where such information can be found in the forum.
There is one thing that we could all do which would assist others in their search for information. I am guilty of not doing this, but I will make an effort to do so, point forward. I would urge all who post to add tags to their threads/posts. Perhaps 5 key words will be sufficient, who, what, when, why, etc. It will make things easier down the road.
QLA--I'm having trouble finding almost anything posted earlier on the chat board. I can't find my own or others' past posts. All I've been doing lately is checking the "What's New" button. Tom
Well, there's something to be said for diligence - I found that thread I was looking for. It was an old post by Mike Lutzenberger, and I downloaded the local freights list. Wow, I didn't know that there were 3 switch jobs schedule to run out of Paris to Hugo and back. It says a lot for Campbell Soup business. With 5 GP7s, I can swap them out between runs or operating sessions.
