I have a small lighting kit. This guy dosent put any instructions with these. I suppose most guys would know but I don't. I plan to use 12V. There is two resistors, do you use both? Which wire is positive? Is there some way of finding this out on a test board? If anyone has knowledge about these let me know. Thanks in advance.
Those resistors look like 1K ohm resistors; you only need one. Doesn't matter what leg you use it on. You could test it with a battery or a power pack to see which lead is positive. I'd guess black, but who knows? If it doesn't light, reverse the leads.
Ok, thanks for your input, Gary. I took a chance and the white is positive and the resistor goes on the negative side. It didn't light the other way. I used a 9v battery. I am using 12v so we will see. They are $ 2.50 so not a big investment. I will think again, and make sure their is instructions before I buy.
Bill with one 1K ohm resistor connected in series to either leg of the LED, you will be fine on 12 - 15 Volts.
