    Hello,

    My name is Jerred Price.

I am from Leachville, AR, about half way between Jonesboro, AR and Blytheville, AR. We are located in the very northeastern part of the state.

In the early 20th century, Leachville had 2 railroads that ran through it. We were a crossroad of the Frisco and the Cotton Belt railroads. Well, today, the only depot that stands is the Cotton Belt depot.

About 3 months ago, I started working with other community volunteers to restore this depot, which was built in 1910. I have currently the entire outside painted white, and working on the inside. The community fund for the depot is getting low.

My question for you guys is, do you know of some how to get some money for the restoration of this depot?

One thing we are doing is letting people buy windows in memorial to someone and putting a memorial plaque on the windows. I am not sure how much the windows will be, because they are wooden and they are about 3' x 7'.

If anyone is interested, please contact me.

    Thank you.

    Jerred,

    Do you have any photographs?

Please send me any you might have from the past or present.

    Send to tlcinc@charter.net

I have an idea that might help out a little bit.

I will do what I can.
