OK, who are the big train people? I am working with Microscale on getting some large scale Frisco decals printed. Anyone wanting to get wet with me? I have specified 1/29, which is the scale that most " standard gauge" equipment is made in, ie, Aristocraft, USA, AML and a few others. I asked Tom Stolte about resizing some of his and he did not understand the 1/29 or 1/32 scales. " What are those?" was his reply. Large scale has become quite confusing. Most "large scale" stuff is between 1/20 and 1/24, with LGB's 1/22.5 right in the middle. I have purchased some from Tom to see them, and they are very good, and I will use them. While not a rivit counter, I do want to get as close as I can.
    Anyone??:)

    Dan,

Your statements seem strange, since Tom states that his "G scale" decals are all 1:29 scale, even by the prefix number. I have ordered and used numerous of them from him, and all are excellent. It may be true that he typically has no plans to make them in other "G scale" variations. He has about 65 Frisco decals available in this scale from many eras. Microscale has none.

    Ken,
Maybe I'll look at them again. I have compared what I ordered from him to 2 Aristocraft freight cars, and the lettering seems a bit large. Maybe Aristo got it wrong? I will do some more checking.
Microscale is still working on a price- looks like I'll have to win the lotto!

Thanks, Howard. Looks like Microscale is out. All they say is " 125 of each sheet minimum". No lotto winner here. I'll check out your suggestion. I;ll also see what else Tom Stolte has to offer. Maybe, the sets I got are larger lettering to begin with. Oh, well, it won't be the first time I have
" opened my mouth to change feet!!".

he should have the art work for o/w lettering. Tell him what you want. If not I still have one set I could send back to him and he could reproduce them.
