I found this group via a post on the MKT list. Glad I found it. I was a brief member of the Frisco Museum in MO. But that went away. Happy to know this place is here. My interest is in steam, passenger, and the Texas line. I'm really interested in the Texas Flash and the Fire Fly. I love streamline steam. I have a light interest in the The Texas Special and the Meteor trains and a big fan of the Frisco 4501 here in Dallas. I hope to learn a lot and expand my interest. Skip Waters Dallas, Texas
Howdy Skip, Thanks for visiting the Frisco. It is sad that the Frisco Museum ran out of steam, but the resources have been preserved. Since I lived in Coppell and moved to Granbury, I have a passion for the Frisco in Texas, too. I'd love to get models of the Flash and Flyer, then run them on the Texas Western MRC layout on a schedule. We have the Texas Special so far, but would love to have more Frisco stuff. Since I am on the BOD, I have used what little influence I have to persuade the hardshell ATSF and T&P gang to let the Frisco run. It is fun to put a 1500 in front of a string of heavyweights.
