I finished my locomotive yard yesterday. I went to run a train and my MP15DC worked fine, but then I tried to run my GP38AC to pick up a caboose and it didn't move. So I stopped and looked over things, and 3 of my locomotives ran fine, but my GP38AC and B30-7 just sat there. What is weird is that the roof beacon and gyro lights work on them, but not the head light. I took the shell off my B30-7 this morning. Nothing looked out of place. I took the decoder out of my MP15DC and stuck it in the u boat, and it still didn't run. What the heck is going on here?

Are you sure that you didn't accidently reprogram the addresses on them. Another possibility is that your system has removed them from its memory. I have no knowledge of your system so I cannot really help you too much with it. On my Digitrax system I find that I can reaquire a locomotive if I dispatch it and then reselct it. Once in a great while I have to totally reset the system (usually due to low CMOS Battery). If all else fails reprogram the decoder. Hope this gives you some ideas.

I'll try reprograming it, but I doubt that's the problem because the roof beacon and gryo lights work.

Reprogramming the address didn't work. But when I was reprogramming it the motor did turn a little bit.

If you are using a TCS Decoder, do a factory reset on the decoder. You can do this by placing a value of 8 in CV 8. This will reset the decoder back to all of its preprogrammed factory settings. In other words it will set the address to 03. Try and run it on this address. Next reprogram it to what ever the address of your locomotive is. If it still doesn't work then you are going to have to do a reset of your command station. Resetting a decoder to its factory default will also reset all of the extra lighting function and you will have to reprogram them. I hope this is clear. If not I will answer any questions I can. PM me with your phone number and I will call you on my Cell phone.

Ok. I'll try the Factory reset on the B30-7 because I can reprogram the lights on it with NCE effects.
