This is a book review I did on the Yahoo N Scale Varnish Chat Board:

This is a review for Morning Sun's "Streetcar Scenes of the 1950's in Color," by Leroy O. King Jr. The sort of connection to N Scale Varnish is that streetcars and passenger trains both carry passengers. But more than that, this book is a huge cache of 1950's modeling ideas. It's worth it's weight in gold for the street SCENES! There are storefronts, corner drug stores, dime stores, mail and express trucks, motor buses (as well as dozens, maybe hundreds of streetcars), 1950's cars (Buick grilles, white sidewalls, etc.), Coca-Cola signs, mailboxes, lamp posts, corner traffic signals (rather than signals hanging from wires), fire hydrants, ordinary neighborhoods, downtown hotels, on and on and on. No end to modeling ideas for the modeler interested in the 1950's. I hope this hasn't been too far off the "track," but I just had to share...
