Office building in Springfield, MO, 1935 Office building in Springfield, MO, 1935. Frisco photo; published in the Frisco Museum's "All Aboard" magazine and posted with permission. Edit 1/27/2024: This is the second General Office Building (GOB) in Springfield. This was the operations offices for the railroad. Built 1910, as an l-shaped structure. North wing added before 1930 forming a U-shaped building. Reflecting the time it was constructed, the building is U or horseshoe shaped. This shape provided for maximum natural light penetration and ventilation in the days before air conditioning. This building is located at 309 North Jefferson Avenue, Springfield, MO 64806. Today the building is occupied as the Frisco Lofts. It has been converted to income controlled loft apartments. The corporate offices for the railroad were located at 906 Olive Street, St. Louis MO 63101. Added operations building narrative, offices and corporate headquarters information and addresses. MKD
