Nice photo, those cars were a little scary, Frisco used them when they widened the long tracks in Springfield. A Speed Swing, was loaded in a gondola, a string of those cars was loaded with fines. The Speed Swing, then, moved from car to car, loaded the fines, turned it to the side and dumped the fines in between the tracks. J. W. Dobbs was the Roadmaster at that time. The ends of those cars bowed outward, because of shifting loads, over time and you never knew when the ends might fall down. Spent some time unloading rail and fines out of those cars. The worst, though, was unloading Ties, out of those cars by hand.
