Would any one have a diagram for the SLSF 1300-1345 series transfer cabooses? A full broad side photograph would also be a big help. Also, a diagram of the flat cars they were built from would be nice. James Hickey
James, I have a faint diagram of the doghouse that I can copy and mail you. Just need your mailing address. You can send it to me in a private message and I will get that out to you. If you are interested in making one, the Red Caboose 40' flat and the Moloco Transfer Caboose Kit are the exact items you need to produce an accurate SLSF transfer caboose. Ship IT on the Frisco! Rick
It does not look like Red Caboose has any 42 feet flat car kits in stock. Does anyone have a clue as to where any of the Red Caboose 42 feet flat car kits are still available? Ken
Ken, Try this link: http://toys.shop.ebay.com/items/HO-..._sacatZ19128QQ_sopZ1?_trksid=p3286.m104.l1198 If the link does not work go to e-bay and type in ''Red Caboose flat car''. There were about 9 of them listed, but I think all but three are up. No Frisco cars though. Jerome
Jerome, Thanks. How about that one listed for $55? I think not! Wooo, shows how organized I am. I just pulled out the Moloco kit, TC-3001, for the SLSF transfer caboose. There, rubber-banded to it, is an undecorated Red Caboose 42 feet flat kit, RC-2202. Forgot I had that! I knew I had one more RC-2210 42 feet flat kit decorated for SLSF, but I do not want to use that for the transfer cab. Turns out I have two Moloco TC-3001 kits. Did not remember that either. Senility cometh! Ken
Ken, Which is worse? I remember having two of the kits plus two of the flats, but I cannot remember where they are in the basement. Senility here!
Doug, Since you were a class ahead of me at Missouri School of mines (MSM), you ought to be a bit worse off. But, I am catching up! Ken
