BLI is offering two numbers of Frisco SW1500s; #318 and #330. Unfortunately they are only offered in DCC with BLI's horrible sound decoders. As such, I am not interested in paying $249.99 for a locomotive and then removing the sound decoder to put a good one in.
Yeah, They kind of stuck it to you! You cannot get one in DCC ready. That is my thinking when I got the SW 7, NW2. Why take out that stupid flying saucer sound decoder and put in a better one when they stuck it to you. John
That's one of the reasons I don't buy BLI. Also in my opinion they are not honest with their customers. Several years ago I placed a several hundred dollar order with them which they said they shipped FedEx. I never received it. I called them and they said the order was refused. I knew that wasn't true as only my wife and I live here and at that time she was always at work in the daytime and neither of us ever refused any shipment of any kind. After giving them time to trace the shipment I called them again and the person who answered said I had to call another number which I did but that person also said they couldn't help me. After a couple of weeks of trying to get my order I gave up on the several hundred dollars and I have not bought any BLI items since and will not. Robert
Thanks for the Tip ! I like Broadway Limited, the Flying Saucer sound you hear is very prototypical for these engines. It brings back memories of riding those engines during a snow storm on Mill Street. Right now I have more engines than I can run. I will get one, anyway cause their Frisco and Broadway Limited. Yea !
