On everyone's "favorite" auction site. Blair issued Kansas City & Southern pass 1890. Item 230978540688. The seller did not have this associated with the FRISCO, so I wasn't sure anyone saw it.

Red Flags galore on that. For one, it being over 120 years old, the edges are way too crisp and there are absolutely no stains on it. The font of 1890 is suspect, and an unfilled pass issued, not signed, etc.? Something is amiss. I say buyer beware.

The Kansas City Southern was not formed until 1900. It certainly looks questionalble to me.

  4. The Kansas City and Southern RY was incorporated 6/10/1880. It was merged into the Kansas City, Osceola and Southern RY Co. 6/16/1891 and merged with the Frisco 6/1/1900.

Yeah, I know that it's NOT KCS. I have some Memphis Route, Leaky Roof and Blair passes from this era that look as good as this. Unissued passes are not uncommon either. Be cautious, but I think this is going to go for big dinero.
