    Hello All,

My name is Steve I live in Rogers, AR and being a historian by trade I am getting very interested in the Frisco. The line to Ft Smith is just a few blocks from my house and seeing that got me searching for more and that is how I found this site.

Hopefully I will be able to add something useful to the group.

    Steve

Welcome from another Steve in the neighborhood. I'm guessing you aren't in NRHS or Tom D would probably know you already. Perhaps you've heard of our local club, which has Historical in the name but not in regular activities. We or the NRHS chapter would love to have you involved.

I have lived here for 5 years and I would say it is just in the last year or so I have become interested in the Frisco. I get to hear the A&M everyday at home and work and looking over the track and seeing what used to be piqued my interest.

I love trains and always have, went on my first ride on the C,SS&SB when I was 3 I remember it well, which surprises my parents since that was over 40 years ago.

You are correct in your assumption that I am not a member of the NRHS. The only train group I belong to is the CN Sig, which comes from my grandpa being a CN/GTW employee for 40 years. I guess the reason I have never joined any other groups is I move with my job and while I used to get involved in local activities it does make it hard to move one when a job transfer comes up and I have strong ties to an area.

    Steve
