I could not locate any information about this mishap in the historical ICC on-line records, and the pictures carry no information. IC hopper, 72120 looks to have a "New" date of x-41. An IC friend of mine confirms a builder date of 1941; the cars were 33' long and carried 50 tons. The derailment not withstanding, the car looks to be in decent shape, so the derailment must have occurred during the early Forties. The trees in the background suggest Mississippi or Alabama.
