    4-4-0 SLSF 158.

A second unidentified number 4-4-0 is in the background on a windy, cold winter day.

    Ellsworth, KS.

I visited the Denver Public Library site and found a treasure trove of Otto Perry pictures, among them this one.

    Cool picture.

Do not see very much from that corner of the system.

Did they have a date for the photograph?

It looks like the road number is 158.

This is part of a series showing these little locos bucking snow in Kansas.

The search criteria is "SLSF" I think.

    Photograph date is March 1912.

Note that the 4-4-0 SLSF 158 is an oil burner.

    Giving this a bump.

Does anyone know of a photograph relating to the "Kansas Midland", the predecessor I think to the Frisco in Ellsworth, KS?
