Only one week to go and I can hardly wait to see lots of Frisco Folks! It will be a terrific weekend of model railroad operations, swap meet, cool presentations, tours, lots of information exchanged and great people. The weather has made a delightful change toward fall (cooler). The event will take place at the "crossroads of the Frisco", and in the former Frisco General Office Building (GOB). Our hosts are all local Frisco Folks and modelers. I suspect it will be another don't miss it event for the books and a favorite event of all who attend! Okay... need to ask: Where is this Frisco Building in relation to the hotel? Is the Frisco Building where the meet will actually take place? (I thought it was going to be in a conference room at the Hotel!) Andre
Andre, The hotel is south, across the street from the Frisco Building. The address of the Frisco Building is 3253 E. Chestnut Expressway, Springfield, MO 65802. The Greenstay Hotel and Suites address is 222 N. Ingram Mill Rd., Springfield, MO 65802. The hotel sits south of East Chestnut Expressway, the Frisco building is on the north side. Both are west of US 65 and east of the Willow Springs Subdivision. This area is on the east central portion of Springfield. It is an easy walk if you want to leave the car in the hotel parking lot. Ethan, I suspect we will use the main entrance that faces Chestnut Expressway on the south side of the building. Frisco Folks gathering at the hotel will most likely see other Frisco Folks at breakfast. Latch on to a new or old friend and join the group.
