2011 Frisco Convention

Discussion in 'Conventions and Meets' started by Ron Williams (RIP), Feb 12, 2011.

  1. We are making progress with our plans for the 2011 Convention 9am to ??, Saturday, September 17, Springfield, MO. The event will be held in the former Frisco headquarters building. A motel has been secured to attendee which is just across the street.

Clinicians include Mike Condren, Charlie Dischinger, Pat Hiatte, Bradley Scott and me (maybe). Some optional opportunities will be available for the afternoon including a tour of the Mill St/Phelps St area, the 4500 and Frisco Museum in Grant Beach Park, the Pedestian Bridge on Commercial St that goes over the main line.

Some space will be available for those with stuff you wish to sell or trade. Lunch will be on your own at the restaurant located adjacent to the meeting area. Dinner will be on your own. The evening will be devoted to never before seen videos, slides and perhaps a surprise or two. Keith Robinson is securing door prizes.

Operating sessions are tentatively planned on Friday night at Sunday morning. (availability is limited) Activities are planned for the ladies too.

Registration will be very economical but space will be limited to the first 75 who register. We already have 35 who have expressed an interest in attending so get on the list by sending your name, address, zip, phone and email address to me at rjwilliams1@mchsi.com. When details are finalized those indicating an interest will be the first notified that we are accepting money. Ron Williams

    Ron,
What is the motel address and phone # and when can we start to register for the convention?

  3. Richard,
We need to confirm some details and then we will have a formal registration form for those who have already indicated an interest in attending. I will send that out to those folks first then post for form on Frisco_Org. The motel is a former Hampton Inn. I hope to have something for you soon. Thanks for your patience. Ron
