    Howdy Frisco Folks,

Not wanting to plug any train site but The Caboose in Connecticut is offering a Hallmark 1948 Meteor that contains two E units and eight passenger cars in HO scale.

I wanted it for my 65th birthday (July 4th, 2011) but when my wife heard about the $3500.00 price tag she gave me "That Look" dreaded by all men, dead or alive!

If I do anything in the way of modeling it will probably be Proto 48 anyway. A Rich Yoder 44 tonner would be a nice start.

    Happy Modeling!

GREAT SCOTT! If a Hallmark Meteor is going for $3500, what kind of price would an Overland set get??

Howdy, A Meteor set, never opened and brand new, just went for $1100 on ebay. I'd say this seller is just fishin at $3500...unless of course, Bobby Hall had a few gold plated versions made... Best, mike
