On e-bay right now there is a set of blueprints for the Frisco 1200-1274 cabooses, including paint diagrams. I will be bidding hot on the item and if I end up with them I will get a set of copies at Kinkos and forward them to be published here. Just an FYI so we do not bid against each other. I will be happy to make copies for anyone that is interested. Thanks !
Great news, got the blueprints and the paint diagrams on the e-bay auction. They appear to be about 24" x 36". When the prints arrive I am going to get high quality duplicates from Kinkos. Would like to know if anybody would like copies? The cost of duplicates and shipping would probably be in the neighborhood of $15 if anybody would like a set. Let me know, and thanks.
Paul, Could you get them to scan to PDF format while you are at it. The PDFs could be posted here and preserved digitally that way.
Paul, I have a brass caboose I am trying to paint. If it shows the Mandarin orange and white paint scheme, I am interested. Does it show how wide the white stripe is on the side of the caboose? Near as I can tell it looks like 2'-9" wide. Thanks!
Keith, Great idea, I will do that. Tom, The drawings are dated 1956, so they only show the original "ship it" paint.
A PDF scan of the prints would be best for me, but I would love to have a set of prints. Just let me know what a set costs, Paul and it will be done.
I would like to know the width of the stripe and the size and location of the box under the frame. If I can get the dimensions of that, I can see about designing it out in Sketchup and what it looks like 3D printed. I do not think my printer can do it justice, but maybe a friend's 3D printer can.
Oh my! We are trying to get the caboose SLSF 1257 in Frisco City, AL restored to more original condition! Is this appropriate for the caboose SLSF 1257 one too? If so, could I get one from you as well? Please let me know.
